Mekar Gets ISO 27001 Certification

From the beginning, MEKAR’s peer-to-peer lending platform was designed with a commitment to meeting the highest data security and protection standards. In the almost three years since our platform was first launched, we have strived to adopt the global best practices in data protection.

Our efforts have paid off. In September, MEKAR received ISO 27001 Certification for its information security management system. After a rigorous process of audit and assessment conducted by TUV Rheinland Indonesia certification body, MEKAR is now officially ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified.

What does it mean to be ISO 27001 certified?

Being ISO 27001 certified means that MEKAR always make efforts to follow internationally recognized guidelines and best practices for the management and security of our users’ data.

“In MEKAR, we have policies and a system in place to check for threats and vulnerabilities on a regular basis. As an ISO 27001 certified company, we always make sure that we are resilient to those risks,” Anwarul Haqi, MEKAR’s Chief Technology Officer said.
