Mekar Wins TOP GRC Awards 2026, GRC Becomes the Foundation for MEKAR Ecosystem Development

Jakarta, September 10, 2026 — PT Mekar Investama Teknologi (Mekar) has received the TOP GRC Awards 2026 with a 3-Star rating, recognizing the company’s implementation of Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) in supporting business development and sustainable growth.
The award was presented at the TOP GRC Awards 2026 ceremony, held on September 9, 2026, at Hotel Raffles Jakarta. The 3-Star rating reflects an assessment that Mekar’s corporate governance, risk management, compliance systems and infrastructure, as well as its use of digital technology, are at a good level of implementation.
For Mekar, this recognition is part of the company’s ongoing journey to strengthen its business foundation as the MEKAR Ecosystem continues to grow. As part of the MEKAR Ecosystem, Mekar continues to expand its role from a fintech lending platform into various productive sectors by integrating financing, technology, and risk management.
“Healthy business growth requires a strong foundation. At Mekar, strengthening governance is not something that operates behind the business, but is an integral part of how we make decisions, manage opportunities, and build the business for the long term. This award is both a recognition and a reminder for us to continue maintaining these standards as the MEKAR Ecosystem grows,” said Pandu Aditya Kristy, Chief Executive Officer of PT Mekar Investama Teknologi.
Within the development of the MEKAR Ecosystem, this approach is applied across various business lines, including Multi-Micro Agriculture Financing (MMAF), agriculture, trade financing, and renewable energy. Risk, compliance, and control aspects are also incorporated into business development and operational processes.
These efforts are further supported by the use of AI and data analytics in risk management. Technology is applied across various processes, from credit assessment and AI Credit Analytics to portfolio monitoring, as well as risk and early warning, supporting more data-driven decision-making and enabling more responsive management of potential risks.
Alongside the development of the ecosystem, sustainability is also an integral part of Mekar’s business direction, including through strengthening financing in the agricultural sector and developing biomass-based renewable energy. This approach reflects Mekar’s commitment to building a business that not only grows commercially but also creates sustainable impact.
Going forward, Mekar will continue to strengthen its Intelligent GRC approach by integrating risk, compliance, data, technology, and sustainability more comprehensively. One of the initiatives being developed is the Risk & Compliance Knowledge Graph, which is designed to support monitoring, transparency, and more integrated decision-making across the MEKAR Ecosystem.
“We see GRC as an integral part of how Mekar builds a responsible and scalable business. As our ecosystem continues to grow, we want to ensure that innovation and expansion are supported by strong governance, adaptive risk management, and consistent compliance,” Pandu concluded.
