Mekar Turns 10: Sharing Kindness with the Children of Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Tanah Abang

As Mekar celebrates its 10th anniversary, the company marked a decade of its journey in a simple way: by sharing and spending time with the children of Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Tanah Abang in Jakarta.

Held on September 15, 2026, the activity was part of Mekar’s 10th anniversary celebration. More than simply giving support, the occasion was also an opportunity for Mekarians to meet the children, have conversations, and enjoy time together.

Carrying the spirit of “Berbagi Kebaikan, Tumbuhkan Kebahagiaan” or “Sharing Kindness, Growing Happiness,” Mekar provided support in the form of school supplies for the children, daily necessities, and assistance for the foundation.

Sharing in Mekar’s 10th Anniversary

Mekar’s 10-year journey is a moment to look back on how the company has grown while continuing to build meaningful connections with the people and communities around it.

For this reason, Mekar’s 10th anniversary celebration was not only marked within the company. This year, Mekar chose to celebrate by sharing with the children and caregivers at Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Tanah Abang.

Around 50 children received school supply packages, while the foundation also received daily necessities and operational support.

“For us, Mekar’s 10th anniversary is not only about looking back at the journey we have taken, but also about how we can continue to create a positive impact around us. That is why we wanted to make this occasion an opportunity to share, meet the children in person, and spend time together at Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Tanah Abang. We hope that what we brought today can be useful and bring a little happiness to them,” said Viky Alvianas, Product Manager at Mekar.

For Mekar, the activity was not only about the support given. It was also about something simple: having the opportunity to meet, connect, and spend time together.

Following the handover of the support and gifts, the activity continued with a shared meal and a group photo. The atmosphere became more relaxed as the children and Mekarians interacted and enjoyed the time together.

Simple moments of conversation, smiles, and sharing a meal became part of the celebration—nothing extravagant, but meaningful in its own way.
