MEKAR Supports Post-Flood Recovery by Distributing Aid to Communities in Padang Pariaman

Padang Pariaman, February 25, 2026 – PT Mekar Investama Teknologi (MEKAR), through its initiative Paten Mekar Tani, distributed aid to communities affected by flooding in Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra. This initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and reflects its commitment to supporting social and economic recovery in post-disaster situations.


The aid was directly distributed to residents of the temporary shelter (Huntara) in Asam Pulau on Wednesday (February 25, 2026). This effort highlights the collaboration between the private sector and local government in responding to emergency situations and ensuring that affected communities receive the necessary support.


The event was attended by the Vice Regent of Padang Pariaman, Rahmat Hidayat, Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Emri Nurman, Head of the Communication and Information Office Zahirman, Acting Head of Protocol and Public Relations Rischa Dianis, invited guests, and residents of the Asam Pulau temporary shelter.



In his remarks, Vice Regent Rahmat Hidayat expressed his appreciation for the support provided to affected communities.

“On behalf of the local government, I would like to express our gratitude to Paten Mekar Tani for delivering assistance to Padang Pariaman, especially to the residents of the Asam Pulau temporary shelter. We hope this support will be beneficial and bring relief to those affected,” he said.

He also emphasized that support from various stakeholders plays a crucial role in accelerating community recovery after disasters.


Meanwhile, Ari Irpendi Putra, Director of Paten Mekar Tani, stated that the assistance is part of a broader disaster relief initiative in West Sumatra.

“Today, we are delivering aid from Paten Mekar Tani and MEKAR to communities affected by flooding in Asam Pulau. This is part of our disaster relief movement in West Sumatra. We hope this assistance can help ease the burden of affected residents and support their recovery process,” he explained.
