Jember, January 20, 2026 — PT Mekar Asta Nusantara (MANU), led by CEO Evi Febriana and GAPOKTANHUT of Seputih Village, held the First Corn Harvest of the Agroforestry Program in Jember Regency, East Java. This milestone demonstrates a strong collaboration between farmers, local government, and the private sector in transforming previously unproductive land into economically valuable agricultural land.
The first harvest event was attended by the Vice Regent of Jember, Dr. H. Djoko Susanto, S.H., M.H., along with regional government officials, members of the regional leadership coordination forum (Forkopimda), the Jember Regency Agriculture Office, the East Java Provincial Social Forestry Office, village authorities, and MANU’s partner farmers.

In his remarks, the Vice Regent of Jember expressed appreciation for MANU’s initiative, which aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen food security and support sustainable agriculture.
“This activity is expected to inspire farmers, particularly in Jember Regency. The collaboration between farmers and MANU represents a partnership model that deserves appreciation and should be further developed as part of strengthening food security,” said Djoko Susanto.
He also emphasized that the development and improvement of partnership programs must continue to ensure that farmers receive optimal benefits, particularly through the development of a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
Under the leadership of CEO Evi Febriana, MANU has consistently developed agroforestry-based agricultural partnerships. With more than five years of experience in the agricultural sector, Evi promotes an approach that focuses not only on harvest outcomes but also on ecosystem sustainability and improving farmers’ welfare.
Through MANU’s partnership program, the productivity of partner farmers has increased alongside the expansion of cultivation areas, the utilization of previously unproductive forest land, and the implementation of more structured farming systems. Land that was previously underutilized can now be managed productively, providing added value for farmers.
MANU also introduces modern agricultural practices through continuous assistance, ranging from cultivation processes and post-harvest management to expanding market access for farmers’ harvests.
This program is also part of the Mekar Ecosystem, where PT Mekar Investama Teknologi (MEKAR) and PT Mekar Asta Nusantara (MANU) collaborate operationally to strengthen productive sectors in Indonesia, including agriculture. Through this approach, MEKAR supports the strengthening of farm management systems, operational efficiency, and the development of a technology-driven agricultural ecosystem.

Evi Febriana stated that this first harvest marks an important milestone for MANU to continue expanding its partnership impact within the agricultural sector.
“For us, the success of this program is not only measured by the harvest results, but by how farmers grow together with us. Revitalizing previously unproductive land into productive land is part of MANU’s commitment to creating sustainable agriculture that delivers real impact,” Evi said.
The launch of this program also represents a strategic step in strengthening the role of regions as part of the national food security chain. Through partnership-based agricultural development and more optimal land utilization, the agricultural sector is expected to contribute more significantly to community welfare.
Moving forward, MANU hopes that this agroforestry partnership model can continue to be developed in Jember Regency and other regions with the support of local governments and various stakeholders. In doing so, the program will not only increase agricultural productivity but also strengthen farmers’ welfare and support sustainable regional economic development.
