For Anggi, business loans like one from MEKAR, are highly needed by small and medium businesses owner. Anggi hopes that in the future MEKAR can reach wider areas. Not only in the Jabodetabek area, but also all across Indonesia.
Raja Anggi Basado Sinaga’s, or mostly know as Anggi, avid love for cooking, which he learned from his beloved North Sumatran mother, had inspired him to pursue his passion in culinary business. And with high determination, in 2013 he opened his first ever small restaurant that specializes in home made noodle, Bakmie Kelut (Kelut Noodle).
Things were doing good for the Bataknese man, so after two years he made a plan to grow his business and recruit more staffs. But first, he needed the fund. That’s when he first learn about MEKAR.
He found out about MEKAR trough Adhadi, a Mekar agent, who approached him in mid November 2015 and introduced him about Mekar. Upon finding about Mekar’s offer and benefit, Anggi then decided to make a loan application for an IDR 20 million.
To his surprise and amazement, his loan was approved and disbursed by Mekar within just 2 days (2 x 24 hours). “I immediately use it to buy more cooking equipments and other necessities for Bakmie Kelut.” said Anggi. “I am in awe that Mekar is very quick in giving response and approval, which is really essential to meet the needs of Indonesian SMEs like me.”
In the future, Anggi hope MEKAR can assist him to open new branch for Bakmie Kelut. “I have a plan to open new branch.” said the man who was born in Parapat, North Sumatra, “I’m still looking for the right location though, but I believe with the help and assistance from Mekar, I will be able to make it happen in the near future.” he said.
